Who we are
Mercera Ltd (Lunt's Heath Rd, Widnes, WA8 5AZ) is the data controller for the personal data you provide through this website. Contact us at info@merceracleaning.co.uk.
What we collect and why
When you make an enquiry or request a quote we collect your name, contact details, property or premises details, and the information needed to prepare a quote and deliver the service. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry, provide the service you request, and manage the resulting contract and payments. Our lawful bases are the performance of a contract (or steps prior to one) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Marketing
We only send marketing communications where you have given separate, explicit consent (an unticked, optional box on our forms). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors needed to run our service — our email provider, our payment processor (Stripe, which handles all card data; we never see your card details), and our hosting provider. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry data for up to 24 months from your last contact, and contract and financial records for 7 years to meet our legal and tax obligations. After these periods data is securely deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights — including a deletion request — email info@merceracleaning.co.uk with the subject “Data request”. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
